What happened

KARE has been designing distinctive furniture and interiors since 1981. Over 100 shops across 50 countries. A Toronto flagship that attracts customers who know exactly what they are looking for. The brand had earned its reputation in physical spaces. Its digital presence was not keeping pace.

Customers arriving online encountered a platform that did not communicate the quality, character, or creativity of the product. The showroom converted people consistently. The website did not.

We began with a complete rebuild. The new platform was architected around the customer journey rather than the product catalogue, with a full UX review to identify and remove friction at every stage of the path to purchase. Shop the look functionality allowed customers to visualize pieces in context before purchasing. An AR tool was integrated to let customers see how furniture would look in their own space. A full online catalogue was built and organized for discovery.

SEO architecture was rebuilt from scratch to drive qualified organic traffic to the right product pages. A chatbot was introduced to replicate the personalized guidance available in store. Email marketing was designed and deployed to capture and convert interest from visitors who were not ready to purchase immediately.

The result was a platform that performed like the brand it represented. Leads increased 49% in the first month following launch.
